To apply to volunteer with vMaD in Cambodia, simply download a volunteer application form, and return it to us via email. We feel it is easier for you to downlaod a document and email it to us than fill in a form online - how many times have you spent ages filling in a form only to click 'send', get an error message, and loose all your work!

The Application Process
Apply - Download & complete the VAF (volunteer application form), read and agree to the CPP (child protection policy) & the Terms & Conditions of volunteering with vMaD and then email it to volunteers@vmad.org attaching a scanned copy of your valid passport. Submit your request for Police Clearance from your local Police… NOTE this is your responsibility!
VAF Acknowledgment Email - You will receive a ‘VAF Acknowledgment’ email within 24 hours of submitting your VAF. This email will confirm receipt of your VAF and approve your given choice of dates. You will then be requested to pay US$75 for your VAF fee as we have agreed to process your VAF. NO NE payment of the VAF fee will make your application null and void!
Upon receipt of your VAF fee we shall contact your references, and subject to obtaining satisfactory references we shall then commence booking accommodation for your dates an confirm your placement.
PLEASE NOTE: you will incur a transaction fees over and above your US$75 VAF fee if you send via Western Union, MoneyGram of SWIFT. Currently we are looking at processing VAF fees and placement fees through a Credit Card system.
Placement Confirmation Email - Once we have received, positive references and police clearance, we will confirm the details of your volunteer placement with vMaD. Please inform us of any errors ASAP so we can correct them!
Pre-Departure Info & MaD Chatter - Soon after your confirmation email, you will receive a pre-departure information pack, giving you all sorts of useful information such as what to bring, what not to bring, local laws and customs, key phrases and project information. You will also receive a fundraising pack to give you some useful ideas as to how you can raise some extra money for your project if you possibly can. The latest issue of our news letter MaD Chatter will also help bring you up to speed with all the work we do before you arrive.
Keep us informed about your arrival times - Make sure we know when you are arriving, and where we are picking you up from. Keep our contact details to hand just in case!
Get yourself ready! - Book your flights, get your insurance and any necessary vaccinations, sort out your visas and passport, make sure you bring everything that you need to, and let the adventure begin. |
